How to Select the Grand Awardee

Only one person will be granted a wish worth BND 1 Million and you have a say!

Nominate which you believe to be the most deserving story and you can stand to receive fabulous prizes too. Each person can only vote ONCE, so consider wisely before voting.

You can vote for finalist you choose using ONE of the following methods:

Online nomination form

  • Go to the Nomination Page.
  • Fill up your personal details.
  • Select the finalist whose story you believe to be the most deserving.
  • Send it in by clicking on the button "Submit Now".

SMS through your mobile phone

Send a SMS text in the following format:
BIBD WISH<space>Finalist Code<send>
to 8885555 (for DST subscribers) and 22333 (for b.mobile subscribers).

Terms and Conditions

  • Nomination Period
    • Nomination commences on Tuesday, 2rd March 2010 and ends on Thursday, 31st March 2010, 12pm.
    • Nominations will not be accepted prior to or after the Nomination Period.
  • General Nomination Terms and Conditions
    • The members of the public are invited to nominate the most deserving story from the 12 finalists.
    • Nominations can be done via www.bibdwish.com or via mobile phone SMS to 8885555 (DST) or 38388 (b.mobile) at the times listed above.
    • Only one online OR SMS text submission is permitted per person. Repeated entries will not be considered.
    • The public has 30% say in determining the Grand Awardee.
    • BIBD does not endorse individual campaigning performed by finalists.
    • The nomination is open to the general public.
    • BIBD reserves the right to cancel or suspend the nomination process at any time.
    • BIBD reserves the right to disqualify nomination submissions if it has reasonable grounds to suspect that fraudulent submissions has occurred or if it considers there has been any attempt to rig the submissions.
    • BIBD, its sub-contractors, subsidiaries and/or agencies cannot accept any responsibility whatsoever for any technical failure or malfunction or any other problem with any telephone network or line, system, server, provider or otherwise which may result in any submissions being lost or not properly registered or recorded.
  • SMS Nomination
    • The BIBD Grand Wish Awardee SMS Nominations is open to all active mobile subscribers for DST and b.mobile networks with SMS compatible mobile phones in Brunei Darussalam only.
    • Mobile users will be charged B$0.50 for each SMS entry sent for nomination. Only first SMS submission will be counted towards tally.
    • An amount of B$0.20 will be chargeable for each invalid or "wrong code" SMS entry sent.
    • Mobile users must obtain permission from the bill payer before participating.
    • Nominations received outside the specified times will not be counted, but may still be charged. Nominations times may change.
    • Only the first SMS submission will be counted towards tally. Subsequent SMS will not be considered, but charges still apply.
    • However, all proceeds from SMS nomination will be donated to charity bodies selected by BIBD.
